Clive Elderton says: William Henry Reynolds was born in Bethnal Green in 1886, the eldest son of George and Annie Reynolds. By 1911 William was employed as a telephone operator for theatre ticket dealers and living with his widowed mother, three sisters and two younger brothers (and a boarder) at 17 Frederick Crescent, North Brixton. His sole legatee was a Mrs Ellen Edwards who received £9.15.2d + £4.10d war gratuity.
