A group of walkers gathered at Bow Church for Graham Barker’s walk round Bow on Friday the 13th July. The sun shone, they visited the Drapers’ Almshouses, Suffragette sites and Grove Hall Park. And ended up with tea and coffee at Bow Church and being shown round the church by local historian Joy Wotton. They heard all about the Three Cs at Bow Church – the Cat in the Window, the Rector’s Corkscrew and the importance of Dame Prisca Coborn.
Graham will be leading more walks as part of the ‘City Footprints’ programme. They’re aimed specifically at older people (50+) living in Bow, north of Bow Road (postcodes E3 2xx and E3 5xx). Further details from Graham Barker on firstname.lastname@example.org or 0791 922 1806.
